What if there were a feature to detect and handle duplicate files within directories? I know it might be tricky to implement or not high on the list right now, but it could be a big help in keeping file systems better organized.

I would like to be able to select folders or files within an “organized” folder that will be excluded from analysis and organizing.

Default workflow for me on MacOS is to try to search the file using spotlight. if we are organised better then spotlight search should show that. If not spotlight then native search

Would like to request that Sparkle provide choices for file organization for long-term storage e.g. files and folders that have common keywords or content which would then organize the content by date and find duplicates with the title of the folder or file or attached keywords. I was looking if this already exists but unclear in your “guide”.

this seems to be just organizing by file type. a simple sort will accomplish the same thing. where is the beef - meaning where is the AI that will actually do some think ing and find like minded articles, spreadsheets, etc.

After spending 3 hours and shutting down almost everything I have on my mac I finally found that it was sparkle who took over my CMD + SHIFT + F shortcut. Without any notification or communication in the search window overlay. As a paid customer I am highly confused about this kinda of behaviour of replacing my default search without my consent. Moreover, in the search window there is no clear indication that it came from sparkle, nor there is a way to go to options to disable it. It’s incredibly non customer friendly. At least the search overlay should have options or indications of which app its coming from.

Whenever my Mac boots, I get a Sparkle pop up message to sell me a subscription. But, I’m already a paying subscriber. I close the message, and then it reverts to the settings, and indicates I am logged in. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled several times, and am using version 1.5.8. How can this be fixed? There’s no reason for a pop up message every time Mac starts. Sparkle is supposed to run in the background unobtrusively.Email support has stopped responding.Thank you.

I use CloudMounter to connect to a number of external cloud services, particularly Google Drive (because I have lots of accounts) and sometimes OneDrive. But for some reason, Sparkle will move the aliases to my Recents folder even after I’ve moved them out (so that they’re on my Desktop). This results in duplicate copies of the aliases showing up in the Recents folder. Theoretically, they should all work, being shortcuts to the same source, but they’re not where I want them to be (staying on my Desktop with other drives as they’re mounted or plugged in). I want future Sparkle to be able to ignore drives mounted to the Desktop!

impossible to develop a top tier app using emojis on folders. If you'll make it custom, at least make it customizable. the best would be wonderful folders and themes. and also, font. serif font?

We received a lot of feedback that people don’t know what’s happening. Is Sparkle working? Which files were moved today? We’re adding a Home View (dashboard section) where you’ll be able to see a summary of all the folders Sparkle is organizing.

I sign in to Sparkle with Apple ID and the “Hide email” option. Now it is impossible to me to sign in again to Sparkle, Every or even here. I didn’t receive a notification for the end of the free trial period and the start of the paid one (this is mandatory in Europe) so I discover the payement from my bank account. No email, nothing. I want a refund since I do not use the app and I wasn’t notified.

Sparkle on my system doesn’t seem to have indexed the Utilities folder within the Applications folder on my macbook pro. This means typing ‘Terminal’ doesn’t bring up the app, which is pretty annoying since I use it all the time.

I agree with many others, this app does not do what it says.  I cannot find most of my files anywhere.  The site itself, says they are in places that make no sense.  And again, I cannot access most of them from my anywhere except maybe the Sparkle site?!  This is unprofessional to say the least and absolutely not acceptable!  I want not only a refund, but also ALL of my files back where they were!!!
